Potters Bar, Hertsmere

  • The brief was to be creative with the existing ground floor of this detached property, where our clients could enjoy living and entertaining.
  • The living room and dining rooms were made into one space.
  • The entrance hall was opened out so as to lead through to the main rooms.
  • A new full width rear terrace was created, spilling out from these reception spaces and providing a further entertainment space giving views over the beautifully landscaped garden.
  • The gracious external stairs either side of the terrace were designed to give access to the garden and the garden room below.
  • The semi basement storage area was dug out to create this large, full width garden room.
  • The kitchen/breakfast room was repositioned and a large utility extension was built on the side of the house.
  • Hertsmere Planning Department was very happy with the scheme, especially retention of the original symmetry of the proposal.
